The development of forensic genetics has enabled profiling from a tiny amount of evidential DNA, even from one cell, which may have come from an innocent person. The article deals with a potential danger of secondary DNA transfer. A number of experiments in the field are presented as well as a few recent criminal cases, in which this transfer could have occurred.
