This article deals with a new type of dactyloscopic expert’s report telling the age of fingerprints. The authors stresses the importance of this expert’s report in the legal proceedings. The authors discusses the subject, range and the methods of examining the age of fingerprints taking examples from crime detection experiences. As shows criminalistic practice experts report is not sufficiently used by pursuing organs and law courts. The authors write about the necessity of wider popularization of problems connected with expert’s report of the age of fingerprints in order to use properly the results of this expert’s report and to appreciate the evidences presented by experts.
