This case-law review opens a series of publications presenting the most recent judicial decisions in the field of civil law that may be important for legal practice. The review will not be limited to illustrating main motives of selected court ruling. It assumes the presentation of its critical assessment – both in the light of views represented by legal doctrine and jurisprudence. The reviews will be published periodically, in each quarter of a given year. We hope that such a convention will be welcomed by readers. Bearing in mind general availability of judgments of the Supreme Court (both on the court’s website and in the legal databases), we would like to emphasize the substantive assessment of court decisions and show their relevance for legal practice. Therefore, the rulings included in the review will be provided with more authorial comments than usual in such publications.
