A comparative analysis of the divorce law of European countries gives reason to rise the thesis about the deep diversification of the adopted solutions. Although these differences appear on many levels, it is the comparison of positive premises that allows to capture differences and indicate the most commonly accepted models. The systematic increase in the number of divorces, including among international couples, allows forecasting that divorce cases with an international element will be increasingly subject to the settlement of Polish courts.
