Two somehow contradictory tendencies are expressed in the regulations concerning cooperatives: a right of a member to be provided with information regarding the control over the business of a cooperative and the compliance with personal data protection requirements. The main objective of this article is to duly interpret these regulations in a manner enabling observing both of them. In this article the documents required to be disclosed and the means of the disclosure thereof are presented. As most of these documents contain personal data, including sensitive personal data, certain restrictions need to be introduced as at present only the access to information regarding contracts made by a cooperative is expressly restricted.
