In this article, the author analyses the student’s rights and possibility of creating a function of student rights ombudsman in polish act Education Law (Prawo oświatowe). Then the author presents results of his research based on submitting motions to schools and asking about student rights ombudsman. The author states that for 384 asked schools, 85 of them have this function. Moreover, the author tells that in 68 of them this function is served to a teacher, 10 to a student and 7 to both teacher and student. Then the author analyses three randomly selected rules of student rights ombudsman operabeing tion. The author draws conclusions about student rights ombudsman’s expertises.
