He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw in 1975. He is a research and didactic employee at the Institute of Civil Law of the University of Warsaw. In 1984 he obtained a doctoral degree in legal sciences based on the work prepared under the scientific guidance of prof. dr. hab. Witold Czachórski titled "The consent of the injured person as a circumstance excluding unlawfulness (in the light of tort liability for own fault act)". He is the author of many publications on substantive civil law, in particular on civil liability and private medical law. In the years 1977–1979 he completed his judicial apprenticeship at the Provincial Court in Warsaw, which ended with a judicial exam. In 1984 he began his legal training apprenticeship conducted by the District Bar Council in Warsaw, which he completed in 1986. Then he began his lawyer practice in Warsaw, which he continues to this day. He specializes in private law, in particular in conducting civil cases before common courts and other bodies established to settle disputes. He has negotiation and procedural experience in the field of civil and commercial law, including contracts concluded in general and commercial transactions, liability for damages, real estate trading, medical law, corporate law.

In addition to practicing legal practice, he is an arbitrator in The Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, and an arbitrator in ad hoc arbitration courts based on the regulations of various arbitration courts, including administered by ICC in Paris. He participated as an expert in the legislative work of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland.

He has been a member of the College since 1990 / September 2014.
