The doctrine of the criminal procedure has not yet elaborated the clear standpoint of the character of the verifying proceedings. Currently, it is acceptable during this stage to ask around the potential offender and witnesses. It allows the initial verification of the report of an offence. However asking around the potential offenders cannot turn into an informal inquiry. The actual legislation does not provide the attendance of the victim-to-be in the verifying procedure.
