In general, according to Polish legal order, performance of work is based on full employment or other agreements governed by the civil law. Legal status of workers employed upon those two aforementioned methods of employment differs greatly. The author indicates the faults of current legal system in a disapproving way and criticizes the way of public debate regarding this matter is being performed by media, press and politicians either. The main thesis of this article is the necessity of setting up a discussion about creating common floor of social rights. This collection of rules and laws will be intended for employees employed on contracts determined by civil law to enhance their position on labor market.
