The rape-procedure has been recently discussed in Poland. The Act proclaimed 13th June, 2013 has changed it (it used to need motion for the trial, now it is going to be fully official). The change was justified by increasing victim’s protection and fulfilling Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence regulations. There is the opposite site of this issue presented in this article. The author pointed some negative effects of the change – as far as procedural aspects are concerned and also bad psychological and victimological consequences.
